Daniel Alves tries to explain the lie in relation to the accusation of rape

According to Daniel, the woman who accuses him of rape went into the club’s bathroom on her own. The defense of lawyer Cristóbal Martell claims that the security camera images do not prove sexual violence.

Even changing the statement, the player did not get the release to await the trial in freedom. According to the judges, there are many signs of the crime and they also fear that Daniel Alves will flee Spain.

Today’s hearing was requested by the defender of the Brazilian national team. The player gave testimony for about 20 minutes.

Daniel Alves has been in prison since January 20. The player was accused of raping a 23-year-old woman in the bathroom at Sutton nightclub on December 30, 2022.

The victim’s identity has not been revealed. According to her lawyer, there is no intention of claiming damages.

The maximum sentence provided for the charge is 12 years. Spanish justice fears releasing Daniel to await the trial in freedom due to the absence of an extradition agreement between Spain and Brazil. The Robinho case also complicates the situation for Daniel Alves.
