Diablo IV Begins Season of the Evil Ones on July 20th, New Class Debuts in Diablo Immortal

DIABLO IV STARTS THE SEASON OF THE EVIL

A new corruption has appeared in Sanctuary! Diablo IV is a living game, built to evolve and expand for years to come. Our long-term content release schedule begins with the first season of Diablo IV, Season of the Evil Ones, starting July 20th.

In our latest live, Associate Game Director Joseph Piepiora, Game Production Lead Timothy Ismay and Associate Community Director Adam Fletcher spoke about the season’s content, which includes new missions, with new characters and enemies, new powers, the first Season Quest and the first Battle Pass.

In keeping with the tradition of previous Diablo games, Diablo IV Seasons will give all players the opportunity to walk the Season Journey from scratch, taking advantage of new features and added gameplay mechanics. As all players will have the same chances, they will be able to try new classes and builds that they find interesting or adventure through the season using a favorite class/build while discovering the season mechanics, which generate a new experience.

To level up the new character, it is not necessary to start from scratch, because he keeps the previous renown obtained by discovering the map and the benefits of the Altars of Lilith that the player has already found. Also, if you’ve already unlocked the mount, you can immediately use it with the new character. Upon completion of each season, all characters will be transferred to the Eternal Realm, where they will be permanently accessible to players.

SEASON 1 DETAILS

Live a new adventure: A new threat roams the world in the form of Evil monsters. Team up with Cormond, an ancient priest, to stop the spread of the Evil Ones at all costs.

Combat the infestation: Destroy these Evil monsters by removing their corruption and imprisoning their Evil Hearts, which can be inserted into rings and amulets.

Zero prior experience required: New players will be able to join Seasonal Realms, play through the main campaign to learn the basics, and then enjoy the Seasonal content and new systems being introduced. They will also be able to advance in the Season Journey and Battle Pass. Hardcore players will be able to create new characters and experiment with new builds and classes as they progress through the Season Journey. Seasons introduce an entirely new way to customize characters and develop their powers as they face end-game challenges.

Season Day: It is a multi-chapter objective system that rewards players for completing each chapter. Over seven chapters, you gain favor from rewards, evolving the Battle Pass.

Battle Pass: By gaining favor by playing normally or purchasing optional tier jumps, players receive rewards while completing Battle Pass tiers. The Battle Pass has a free tier where everyone can receive season bonuses to accelerate progress. If a player chooses to purchase the paid rank, they will also be able to receive Battle Pass-exclusive cosmetic items.

DIABLO IMMORTAL RECEIVES THE BLOODY KNIGHT

Enter the Diablo Immortal and bare fangs with the Blood Knight—the seventh class coming to Sanctuary.

GLORY HIGHLIGHTS

HISTORY: All Blood Knights are trained in an ancient style of spear fighting mastered by their order in Gea Kul. They possess supernatural strength and an ethereal connection to each other, but must perform rituals with their mystical memories that prevent them from turning into monsters.

MISSION: Participate in the rituals that transform the cursed into Blood Knights and learn of the torment they endured as they battled their curse.

SUPERNATURAL ABILITIES: The Blood Knight is a hybrid melee class that devours the life energy of enemies, trapping them with evoked shadows, and annihilates any opposition with polearms typical of knights.
