During GDC, NVIDIA announced that “Diablo IV”, released by Blizzard Entertainment in June 2023, will receive an update on March 26 to include support for the technology Ray Tracing. This update aims to improve the game's graphical representation, allowing more accurate reflections on surfaces such as armor, water and glass, as well as improving the quality of shadows, providing a more detailed visual experience.
With the implementation of Ray Tracing, “Diablo IV” will offer greater depth in scenes, improving immersion in the game environment. Furthermore, the update stands out for optimizing performance for users of GeForce RTX graphics cards, thanks to the use of DLSS 3a supersampling technology that improves performance at high resolutions, such as 4K, providing an average of 2.5 times improvement in frame rate per second.
NVIDIA also emphasizes the reduction in system latency provided by NVIDIA Reflex, which can reach up to 67%, significantly improving the game's responsiveness. This improvement is crucial to guarantee a more fluid gaming experience, especially in a title that requires quick reactions like “Diablo IV”.
