Dismantling Law could reduce the price of car insurance

Good news for those who do not yet have their insurance due to the price or for those who already have it, but always want to pay less, is that the Dismantling Law can generate a discount of up to 30% on this service. These were predictions by Antônio Carlos João, from the Union of Insurance Brokers in the State of São Paulo (Sincor).

To give you an idea, data from the Public Security Secretariat (SSP) shows that 462 businesses were inspected and 261 of these were closed. In Campinas alone, of the 49 places that carry out scrapping, 19 no longer work. Therefore, as the value of insurance is directly linked to the number of car thefts, the price may decrease significantly if inspections increase.

According to delegate Geraldo Souza Filho, this law aims to neutralize the trade in stolen parts and to achieve this, establishments that work with this need to comply with strict standards. The entry of a car must be reported within five days and the entire system needs to be automated so that the entire vehicle disassembly process is tracked.
