Elon Musk Twitter: Musk wants lawsuit over rejected takeover Twitter postponed until 2023

elon musk twitter – Lawyers for Elon Musk have asked a U.S. court to postpone Twitter’s lawsuit against the Tesla founder until 2023. Musk recently announced that despite a deal, he would refrain from taking over Twitter. The social medium wants to keep him at his word through a procedure to the court
Twitter wants to start the lawsuit in September, but that is far too fast, according to Musk’s lawyers. They say more time is needed to thoroughly investigate the number of spambots and fake accounts on the platform.
Musk had signed an agreement with Twitter for a takeover worth 44 billion dollars (43.6 billion euros). The billionaire was planning to take Twitter to the next level himself.

According to him, Twitter had the potential to become “the global platform for freedom of expression”, but that promise was not fulfilled under the current administration.
Twitter did not want to be sold to Musk in the beginning, but eventually changed its mind. Now it is the billionaire who abandons the deal at the last minute. He says Twitter hasn’t been honest about the number of spambots and fake accounts operating on the social medium.
“Twitter violates multiple provisions of that agreement and appears to have made false and misleading statements, which Mr. Musk relied on when entering into the merger agreement,” Musk’s lawyers report.
‘Tactics to cover up information’
Musk’s lawyers call Twitter’s quick lawsuit “a new tactic to cover up the truth about spam accounts.” Musk also accuses Twitter of a lack of humor. “Twitter has the sense of humor of a robot,” his lawyers note in the indictment. “The platform claims that Musk is harming the company with tweets like a poopy emoji to the director.”
Twitter says it has provided all available information to Musk. The company accuses him of violating the terms of the purchase agreement.
