Fenerbahçe’s young promise decides future and surprises by choosing Real Madrid

Apparently Arda Güler, a young player from Fenerbahçe, in Turkey, has chosen his new club. As disclosed by the Journal AS, the 18-year-old Turkish midfielder is expected to sign a contract with Real Madrid in the coming days.

The promising midfielder caught the attention of several clubs, including Barcelona. Deco, former player and current sporting director of barça, had already booked a trip to Istanbul to try to negotiate with the athlete, but Real Madrid also showed interest and offered 20 million euros (about R$ 105 million) to Fenerbahçe, surpassing the value of the termination clause of Arda and forwarding the hiring of the athlete.

This will be Real Madrid’s fourth signing in this transfer window. English midfielder Bellingham, Spanish winger Fran García and Spanish striker Joselu were the Galácticos’ other signings for next season. Arda arrives to reinforce the attack of the Spanish team, which recently had the departure of Benzema, Hazard, Asensio and Mariano Díaz.

Arda Güler is Fenerbahçe’s number 10 and despite being young, he has already been called up for the Turkish national team. The youngster scored six goals and provided seven assists in 35 games played with the Turkish club last season. For his national team, Arda played four games and scored one goal.
