Oh forget those times, They were boring as hell.
Well, Polyphony Digital is back with update 1.48 for Gran Turismo 7and let's take a look at what they brought this time.
Five new cars added this month:
- Honda Civic SiR・II (EG) '93 – This is the classic that every JDM fan loves. If you don't know this model, you were probably asleep in the 90s.
- Honda NSX GT500 '00 – The JGTC legend who redefined what it means to be a Japanese race car.
- Nissan Skyline GTS-R (R31) '87 – A true monster disguised as an elegant passenger car.
- Volvo 240 SE Estate '93 – The car that made everyone love station wagons. Seriously, who doesn't want one of these?
- Volvo V40 T5 R-Design '13 – A global success that combines sedan, estate and coupé. The best of three worlds, or just another car to fill the garage?
- Menu Extra #39: Racers of the Japanese GT (Collector Level 48 and above)
World Tour Events
- Europe Sunday Cup 400 – Kyoto Driving Park: Yamagiwa
- Japanese FF Challenge 450 – Autopolis International Racing Course: Short Course
- Japanese FR Challenge 450 – Autodrome Lago Maggiore: West
- World Tour Car 800 – Circuit de Sainte-Croix: A
Now, let's be honest. The latest update is like that pizza buffet where you know you'll find your favorite slices, but also some questionable choices. The Civic SiR is great, but who was really clamoring for a Volvo 240 SE Estate? It's like bringing a Kombi to a Formula 1 race.
And speaking of nostalgia, who remembers when the Skyline was king of the slopes? The R31 GTS-R brings back fond memories, but can it compete with modern beasts? Maybe in our hearts, but on the track, who knows?
The new circuit events are cool, but they're not exactly revolutionary. It's as if Polyphony Digital was trying to put a new coat of paint on an old house. And those extra menus? It seems like they are more focused on collecting cars than actually racing them.
If you are a hardcore Gran Turismo fan, go there and update and then literally run to tell us what you think on social media, after all today that's worth more than actually playing, isn't it?
