Hero Base, led by João 'Flakes Power' Sampaio and businessman João “Biggie” Victor, emerged triumphant in Valorant Challengers Brasil (VCB) Stage 1, securing their first title in the competitive Valorant scene. The decisive 3-1 victory against Red Canids not only sealed the championship, but also positioned Hero Base as a new powerhouse in Brazilian esports.

The achievement did not come alone. In addition to the trophy, the team secured 65 essential ranking points, paving the way for the final stage of the tournament in September, which will bring together teams from North America and LATAM. The final stage champion will take home R$105,000, adding an extra layer of tension and expectation throughout the season.

João 'Flakes Power' Sampaio, co-founder of Hero Base, expressed his views after the victory. “From the beginning, we were committed to expanding our operations to new modalities, and winning a title in Valorant in the first split is proof that we are on the right path. Captain Raafa shared his enthusiasm and the importance of the title for the group. “Lifting this cup alongside my teammates is a huge satisfaction. Despite the changes in the cast throughout the year, we were assertive in hiring and we are reaping the rewards of everyone's effort and dedication. This title is very meaningful to us,” explained Raafa.
