Jungkook surpasses BTS and becomes K-Pop act with the most monthly listeners on Spotify

While some of the members of the renowned K-Pop group BTS are doing their mandatory military service in South Korea, the other members have been dedicating themselves to side projects beyond the team. This is the case of Jungkook, the youngest participant, who this year launched his solo career with “Seven”, a partnership with Lato. The artist achieved the feat of surpassing the band itself in its monthly listeners, a feat that has not been achieved since 2020 among Korean artists.

Currently, the singer is releasing the song “3D”, in partnership with Jack Harlow and achieving new records at the top of the charts. It is expected that before completing mandatory military enlistment, Jungkook will release a solo album, which could happen by the end of the year.

With engaging choreography and bold lyrics, the artists move through an imaginary city in the music video that resembles the suburbs of New York. Playing with pop and R&B, the singer intends to experiment with different genres and explore different perspectives in his music. “3D” has an EP with remixes that explore other sides of the song.

The clip featured the version alongside Grammy-nominated rapper Jack Harlow. In addition to musical partners, the American also presented him with a diamond necklace in the shape of his home state, Kentucky. The gift is estimated at US$35 million.

Jungkook praises Anitta at the VMAs

When asked about his favorite performance at the latest edition of the MTV awards, last month, the Korean praised the performance of the group TOMORROW X TOGETHER and also highlighted Anitta's participation in the song.

With the video and “3D” on the rise, Jungkook should continue promoting the song. He currently occupies first and second place on Spotify's Global Top, having surpassed himself in the partnership with Lato, “Seven”.
