If there's someone who knows how to surprise, it's Lil Nas X. Taking the stage leading a marching band, after being announced by Billy Porter, Nas “Industry Baby”, But not for long. Soon his clothes were removed, leaving him only in pink pants, characteristic of the single's music video. In the center of the stage, Montero's prison was recreated, with a group of dancers embodied in the best way possible as inmates, performing, together with the rapper, the well-known choreography.

Contrasting with the predominant hot pink tone on stage, Jack Harlow arrived dressed in black for his part of the performance, clapping his hands along with Lil in rhythm to the song and making space for the final touch to be created.

At the back of the stage, adorned by a lot of smoke, Lil Nas After snoring “Industry Baby”Lil and the dancers boldly dance an excerpt from “Montero (Call Me By Your Name)”while he himself sings his single, ending the performance with the dancers crowded around him.

Lil is an artist who usually uses his voice and visibility to add and promote the causes he believes in, and this time, it was no different. According to GLAAD (Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation), Mardrequs Harris, from Southern AIDS Coalition, displayed a jacket on stage during the rapper's performance, with the number 433,816 in red, symbolizing the number of people living with HIV in the southern United States in 2015. The color also represents the universal color of HIV support and awareness.

In addition to her outstanding performance, Lil also won one of the main awards of the night, Best Music Video with “Montero (Call Me By Your Name)”. On stage, the artist took the opportunity to promote his album, which will be released this Friday (17th) and thank his fans.
