“Faced with so many lies spread around my work, trying to undo all my efforts to dedicate so many years to the Luisa Mell Institute, and taking advantage of this delicate moment to try to find a reason for the blow they gave me, I had to disclose the truth. It is easy to verify: I communicated here two weeks ago that I lost control of the Institute and that I am working to recover it. I am the President, Founder and Main Civil and Criminal Responsible of the Institute”, assured.

Luisa Mell also highlighted that for years she gave her image and contributed directly to the rescue of animals for the Institute that bears her name. However, the activist stated that there were agreements made without her consent, which resulted in loss of space in the organization because she disapproved of such measures.

Luisa Mell emphasized in a video her financial contribution to the Luisa Mell Institute over the years. She mentioned that she did publicity without earning anything to help maintain the organization and clarified that she is not a millionaire, as some believe, and that she does not receive a millionaire pension after her separation from her wealthy ex-husband.

“Just as anyone who accompanies me here is also a witness to how much I have always donated to the institute. I donated, my health, my time, my image, my work, my contacts… My ex-husband (Gilberto Zaborowsky) always donated I never had a salary at the institute, but from the moment I discovered partnerships made in my name without my authorization and with absurd conditions, I decided not to delegate so much more. Then I became an enemy, having to hear in extraordinary assemblies that any player could replace me because they already had the structure” declared.

Luisa says she was the victim of a scam amid the controversy with the organization. “In view of my attitude of not putting up with anything that did not have my pre-authorization, since they used my name and image, I was the victim of a coup where they changed the governance regime so that I could not decide anything else. Without being able to decide, nor dismissing employees, without any control over spending, without any power to decide anything, nor the bailouts I needed to do. How could I keep asking you for money?”, questioned.
