MC Marcinho: What is the legacy left by the Prince of Funk?

In the middle of last year, Marcio André Nepomuceno Garcia, known as MC Marcinho, died. The confirmation came from Copa D'Or Hospital, at 9:38 am. Mainly nicknamed the Prince of Funk, the funk singer was one of the most prominent artists in the history of this musical style in Brazil.

He was 45 years old and had been experiencing heart problems. Marcinho leaves three children. He had been in intensive care since July 10th. In fact, it is worth mentioning that in the last six months of his life, the funk singer was in the hospital two other times.

At the same time, it was revealed that, primarily, the assets left by the singer were somewhere between R$20 and R$30 million. Monthly income was between R$1 and R$2 million. However, according to columnist Daniel Nascimento, from the newspaper O Dia, he had access to MC Marcinho's inventory (whose funk player's brother, Mauro Roberto, takes care of at the request of his heirs), the value is well below expectations.

So, according to the journalist, the legacy left by the Prince of Funk would actually be valued at “only” R$1.3 million. Therefore, this value does not exceed the mark of ten minimum wages. Regardless, the amount must be divided among MC Marcinho's five heirs, four of whom are adults and one is a minor, represented by the mother.
