Meghan Markle, known for her role as British royalty, officially launched her own brand, American Riviera Orchard, this Thursday (14), presenting a line of products focused on lifestyle and gastronomy. The initiative was announced through a newly created Instagram account, which shared cryptic teasers revealing the brand's logo.
Origin and proposal of the brand
The brand, whose title literally translates to “American Riviera Orchard,” is an extension of the former blog “The Tig,” where Meghan shared her passion for cooking, fashion and lifestyle. According to Page Six, American Riviera Orchard is expected to offer a variety of home, food and gardening products.
The logo revealed on Instagram features the word “Montecito,” a clear reference to the Californian city where Meghan and Harry currently reside. Montecito, which is located in Santa Barbara County, is recognized as an enclave for celebrities and millionaires in California. The choice of the name American Riviera Orchard suggests a direct connection to Santa Barbara, known as the “American Riviera”, where the couple lives.
Reach on social media and future projects
Through the video released on Instagram, it is possible to see Meghan cooking and taking care of plants, indicating a possible product line focused on cooking and gardening. According to Page Six, the brand plans to make available household utensils, tableware, food products such as jellies, jams and pâtés, as well as possible recipe books.
American Riviera Orchard's Instagram account quickly gained more than 80,000 followers shortly after launch, indicating strong public interest. The first content shared features Meghan cooking to the sound of “I Wish You Love” by Nancy Wilson. The brand's website now allows interested parties to sign up to receive future updates and news.
