After separating from her ex-husband Alexandre Correa, presenter Ana Hickmann began doing a series of lives on her Instagram to talk about domestic violence and the rights of women who go through this situation.
The last live, which took place last Friday (15), was attended by judge Kenarik Boujikian and the coordinator of the Casa da Mulher Brasileira, Ana Cristina, and was marked by long conversations and emotional moments.

At the end of the live, Ana Hickmann couldn't contain her tears. Coordinator Ana Cristina congratulated the presenter for not remaining silent and denouncing the violence she suffered. Judge Kenarik also addressed this issue and left a striking sentence: “You have to talk.”

Ana said that the word shame is something that everyone feels when they experience violence and come across it. She also explained what types of violence are: emotional violence, property violence, procedural violence and physical violence and also highlighted that in a fight between a husband and wife, yes, there is a danger, and that everyone can help in some way.
“Emotional violence is the first one that we don't want to believe is happening. We discover property violence along the way”, stated the presenter.
In this same live, the interviewees spoke about society's behavior in the face of this situation and how harmful it can be to not have information on the subject, in order to assert their rights.
Lives about violence against women
The lives started in February and were a series of events bringing knowledge about women's rights and how they can and should act in situations of violence. Ana invited several women to speak and provide information about these rights.
She brought knowledge about the Maria da Penha Law, spoke with prosecutors, psychologist, coordinator of the Casa da Mulher, judge, judge, secretary of urban security, minister of Women, prosecutor and also received some guests to talk about female empowerment .
