Overwatch 2 announces partnership with the acclaimed anime Cowboy Bebopstarting from March 12. This collaboration will allow players on all platforms to access exclusive in-game content, including visuals, emotes, featured introductions and other thematic elements inspired by the anime series of space western.
The initiative marks the latest Overwatch 2 collaboration, this time with Cowboy Bebop, a series well known for its striking plot and music. Players will have the opportunity to unlock items themed to popular game characters from March 12including legendary visuals such as Cassidy Spike Spiegel, Ashe Faye Valentine, Mauga Jet Black, Sombra Ed and Wreckingball Ein. The latter will be available free of charge to all players. Details of the items will be published in March 11one day before the launch of the event.
Aimee Dennett, associate director of Overwatch 2, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, noting the honor of collaborating with a series as respected as Cowboy Bebop and highlighting the goal of paying homage to anime's history, art, animation, and music. The Overwatch 2 team hopes the gaming community enjoys the collaboration as much as they had fun developing it.
