Perfect Love: Anselmo tries to get back together with Veronica

“Amor Perfeito” premiered on March 20, on Globo, replacing “Mar do Sertão” in the 6 pm slot. It is written by Duca Rachid, Júlio Fischer and Elisio Lopes Jr., freely inspired by the novel “Marcelino Pão e Vinho” (1953), by the Spanish writer José María Sánchez Silva. The direction is by Alexandre Macedo, Lúcio Tavares, Joana Antonaccio and Larissa Fernandes. Artistic direction is signed by André Câmara. In the cast, Camila Queiroz, Diogo Almeida, Mariana Ximenes, Thiago Lacerda, Daniel Rangel, Carmo Dalla Vecchia, Juliana Alves, Levi Asaf, among others.

Orlando despairs when he learns of Lucília’s death, and Marê comforts him. Albuquerque confronts Gilda about Felipe and Lucília. Ademar is bothered by the misunderstanding between Ione and Bem-Te-Vi. Everyone is horrified to discover that Lucília is dead. Turíbio hires Ivan as a photographer for Gazeta. Gaspar suspects Lucília’s death. Frei Leão asks Albuquerque to reconsider his treatment of Tobias. Darlene asks Gaspar to leave. Marê and Marcelino support Orlando during Lucília’s wake. Gilda finds the photo album of Orlando, Lucília and Virgílio.

Thursday, July 13th

Gilda thinks about how to make Marê find out that Orlando is Virgílio’s son. Marcelino asks to be adopted by Marê and Orlando after their marriage. Frei João advises Orlando to tell Marê the truth about his origins. Justino and Popó arrive to study with Tânia, Celeste and Leonor. Ademar refuses to sleep with Ione. Júlio confesses to Érico that he suspects that Lucília’s death was ordered. Darlene is surprised to think about Gaspar. Gilda arranges for Virgílio’s letters to reach Marê. Marê confronts Orlando about his relationship with Virgílio.

Marê and Orlando exchange accusations involving the memory of their families. Marcelino wakes up with a bad feeling. Father Donato suffers from the possibility of Marcelino being adopted, and Friar Severo takes him in. Érico blames himself for having given in to Gilda’s blackmail and harming Marê in the past. Marê moves away from Orlando, and both are inconsolable with the fight. Gilda looks for Orlando.

Saturday, July 15th

Gilda notices the hostile atmosphere between Marê and Orlando and deduces that her plan was a success. Ítalo announces that the entire hospital board has joined forces with Marê to build the maternity ward. Érico is suspicious of Gilda’s happiness. Everyone learns the reason for the fight between Marê and Orlando. Sônia is concerned when Júlio says that Marê and Orlando’s romance is over. Gilda thinks of a new chance to get custody of Marcelino and asks Popó about the story of Rosa, the boy’s supposed mother. Marê reveals to Friar João that she will break off her relationship with Orlando, and Marcelino questions her about his adoption.
