Taylor Swift releases track list for her new album

With the recent release of her next album, the American singer Taylor Swift published on her social networks the name of the 16 tracks that are present in her new release, the album “The Tortured Poets Department”, which also has a bonus track to “The Manuscript”. The scheduled premiere date is April 19th this year, and its production will feature the special participation of other singers, such as Post Malone and Florence + the Machine.

Titles of the 16 tracks

Divided into four parts, the tracks arrive on sides A, B, C and D in the following order: on side A with the songs “Fortnight” (feat. Post Malone), “The Tortured Poets Department”, “My Boy Only Breaks His Favorite Toys” and “Down Bad”. Then on the B-side, songs like “So Long, London”, “But Daddy”, “Love Him”, “Fresh Out the Slammer” and “Florida!!!” (feat. Florence + The Machine) close the second part. On side C we have “Guilty as Sin?”, “Who's Afraid of Little Old Me?”, “I Can Fix Him (No Really I Can)” and “loml”. To close the album come the tracks “I Can Do”, “It With a Broken Heart”, “The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived”, “The Alchemy”, “Clara Bow” and the bonus track “The Manuscript”, on the side D.

New album

Taylor announced the release of her new album, after receiving another Grammy for “Album of the Year” for her album “Midnights”. In the release, she posted the album's cover photo and a poem, giving a taste of what will be in the lyrics of her songs.

“And then I come into the spotlight

My stained coat of arms

My muses, acquired like bruises

My talismans and amulets”

The singer still talks about love as if it were a bomb, contextualizing her poem in her veins, in relation to the ink of the pen running through her blood, explaining that everything can be together in love and poetry. Concludes with “president of the Department of Tortured Poets” which, according to fan theory, would be an association with her ex-boyfriend, due to a WhatsApp group with a similar name to the album.

Joining the list as the 11th production, “The Tortured Poets Department” arrives in just over two months, on April 19th of this year.
