Timothée Chalamet signs exclusive deal with Warner Bros. for new movies

Rising Hollywood star Timothée Chalamet and Warner Bros. signed a million-dollar exclusivity agreement for the studio's next projects. The successes in “Wonka”, released in December last year, and “Dune: part 2”, which is still showing in Brazilian cinemas, highlighted the performance of the young actor, aged 28, in their respective protagonist roles. Both parties celebrated the partnership and the commercial results of the films.

According to the Variety, the Warner Bros. deal. Discovery will leverage Timothée Chalamet's salary, with an estimated salary of more than US$10 million in future films starring the star. Previously, in “Wonka”, being the actor's highest-grossing film to date, with a mark of approximately US$630 million, he received a payment worth around US$8 million.

However, the new contract is not limited to acting alone. Timothée will also be able to make his debut as a producer in opportunities that the actor is interested in participating in. Furthermore, he will still be allowed to star in films from other competing studios, although priority will still be associated with Warner.

Reception of “Dune: part 2”

A few months after the premiere of “Wonka”, Timothée is in the best phase of his career at the moment. Released in February this year, “Dune: part 2” has already reached a box office gross of more than US$575 million, and is still counting.

With these successive achievements, the young man surpassed an achievement, maintained for more than four decades by John Travolta, who acted in the films “Saturday Night Fever” and “Grease: In Times of Brilliance”. Now, Chalamet is the new Hollywood star to be among the top names at the global box office in two consecutive years.
