Treatment developed by Brazilian, provides total remission of patient’s terminal cancer
The patient Scott Miller, 68 years old, had complete remission of metastatic prostate cancer. The disease, which was in stage IV, was diagnosed in July 2021. The tumor was almost 12 centimeters in diameter and had already spread to bones, bladder, gallbladder, rectum and other organs.
The procedure performed on the patient was developed by the Brazilian researcher Marc Abreuspecialist in brain thermodynamics and thermoregulatory frequencies graduated from the Federal University of São Paulo (Unifesp).
The treatment called brain thermal tunnel (MTBin the acronym in English), was developed by the Brazilian doctor in Yale University, in Connecticut, in the United States. This method consists of the induction of heat shock proteins, using the increase in temperature, in a controlled manner, by the brain.
The clinical case was presented on Wednesday (26), at the 38th Annual Congress of the Society for Thermal Medicine, in San Diego, United States.
According to Marc Abreu, over six months of treatment, five inductions were necessary. The patient did not experience any side effects and did not undergo traditional procedures such as radiotherapy and chemotherapy.
“In the first induction, I already felt something different. With that, I moved temporarily from Los Angeles to Miami, where the BTT Medical Institute is located, to continue the treatment. After the treatment, my radiologist, when reviewing my scans, informed me that unbelievably it is as if I never had cancer”, reported Miller.
The patient will have to return to the institute every six months, and this monitoring lasts for three years.
“A very important point is that with this treatment, we not only eliminate the cancer, but also the source of the cancer. We have the eradication of cancer stem cells and the neutralization of signaling molecules, which are the molecules that lead to the development and then the recurrence of cancer.” Explained the specialist, Marc Abreu.
