Biden's re-election campaign points to Trump as a wounded and dangerous candidate
President Joe Biden's re-election campaign is releasing a memo in which it defends the position that Donald Trump is “a wounded, dangerous and unpopular candidate” despite his near-victory on Super Tuesday. The document, signed by campaign chair Jen O'Malley Dillon and campaign manager Julie Chávez Rodríguez, highlights Nikki Haley's resilience in the Republican primary as evidence of the challenges Trump faces in terms of support from traditionally Republican voters.
Trump's challenges and Biden's strategy
According to the memo, a significant portion of moderate voters and Haley supporters are expressing doubts about supporting Trump in a general election. The Biden campaign plans to “aggressively engage” these voters as the general election approaches. Despite worrying poll numbers for Trump, the campaign sees promise in the 10% of undecided voters, highlighting a clear path to victory.
Post-SuperTuesday scenario and Nikki Haley’s withdrawal
After Trump's victory on Super Tuesday, Nikki Haley, his only opponent in the Republican primaries, announced her withdrawal from the presidential race in 2024. Super Tuesday, marked by voting in 15 states and one territory, consolidated Trump's position as the only Republican candidate , with victory in 14 states. Haley ended her campaign in Charleston, South Carolina, expressing hope that Trump will gain support beyond her supporters. With her departure, Trump will face Biden in the November election.

Supreme Court rejects Trump's exclusion from 2024 elections
The United States Supreme Court rejected a court decision that sought to exclude Donald Trump from the 2024 elections in Colorado, accusing him of involvement in the insurrection at the Capitol in January 2021. The decision was released on the eve of Super Tuesday, reinforcing the electoral scenario for the next presidential elections.
