Erik ten hag new contract
There is a departure clause in Erik ten Hag’s new contract with Ajax. The success trainer extended his commitment this week until mid-2023.
However, Ten Hag could already leave Ajax in the summer of 2022, general manager Edwin van der Sar disclosed this on Sunday . “Next season Ten Hag will be 100 percent sure of working with us. A contract often contains clauses and that is no different in this case.”

“If Erik does well next season, he could make a new step after that. Everyone in the Dutch top wants to go abroad at some point, that’s no different for Erik,” said Van der Sar. “We are very happy that he can work with this team for at least another year.”
In recent weeks, foreign media have associated Ten Hag with clubs such as Tottenham Hotspur, RB Leipzig, Borussia Mönchengladbach and Eintracht Frankfurt. Ajax put an end to those rumors with the contract extension.
The 51-year-old trainer can secure the national title with Ajax on Sunday in the home match against FC Emmen (kick-off at 2.30 pm). In the ArenA, a draw is sufficient for the 35th championship.
Ten Hag won prizes in the Netherlands and made an impression in Europe
Ten Hag made the switch from FC Utrecht to Ajax in December 2017. After a few difficult first months, he became very successful.
Earlier this season, Ten Hag took the TOTO KNVB Cup with Ajax. In the 2018/2019 season, the tukker already won the double with the top club.
Ajax also performed impressively under the trainer in Europe, with a semi-final place in the Champions League in 2019 and a quarter-final in the Europa League in the current season
