Eva Mendes talks about raising her daughters

During a participation in the North American program The Talk, Eva Mendes said that it has been difficult to teach Spanish to her daughters.

Born in Miami, Florida, the actress has Latin roots, as her parents are from Cuba. Alongside her husband, Ryan Gosling, Eva revealed that Esmeralda and Amada always mix Spanish with English.

“Well, the Spanish in my house… I’m Cuban and we’re trying to teach the girls Spanish, and it’s harder than I thought,” she explained. “I speak ‘Spanglish’ and this is what they are learning. So it’s lovely, but technically it’s not a language. It’s ‘Spanglish’”.

She continued: “So our little girl says something like: ‘Mommy, my mouth hurts because I think something got stuck in my tooth.’ It’s so cute, but not very nice.”

The star also said that having children was not part of her plans, but as soon as she met Gosling and they started to relate, her thinking changed.
