Faker is the First Inductee into the League of Legends Esports Hall of Legends

The Esports of League of Legends are celebrating the inclusion of Lee Sang-hyeok, better known as Faker, as the first inductee into the Hall of Legends.

Faker is a living legend of the game, known for his incredible plays and leadership on the T1 team. He not only showed impressive technical skill, but also inspired millions of fans around the world.

Career and Achievements

Faker, playing in the mid lane for T1, dedicated more than 12 years to the game, standing out for his skill and ability to make decisive plays.

He led his team to numerous victories, winning 10 LCK titles, two Mid-Season Invitational titles, and four World Championship titles. John Needham, President of Esports at Riot Games, said: “Faker is, without a doubt, the most iconic and influential figure in the history of League of Legends and Esports. His name is synonymous with excellence.”

Celebrations and Tributes

To mark this achievement, there will be a special in-game event where fans will be able to purchase personalized cosmetic items in honor of Faker.

In-Game Event

The event will include an Event Pass, taking players on a journey through Faker's career, highlighting key moments and achievements. Players will be able to earn and purchase cosmetic items and commemorative “Demon King” skins to celebrate this great achievement.

Every year, Esports League of Legends will nominate a professional player to the Hall of Legends, honoring their achievements within the sport and the game.
