Famous tricolors celebrate Fluminense's victory in the Libertadores

Fluminense won its first Libertadores title on Saturday (04), after beating Argentines Boca Juniors. The final was held at the Maracanã stadium, in Rio de Janeiro. Many famous people, declared Fluminense fans, showed their support for their favorite team, Tricolor.

Gilberto Gil, Thalita Rebouças, Rafael Vitti, Renata Capucci, Rafael Portugal, Xamã and Tadeu Schmidt were some of the names that celebrated Fluminense's victory in the Libertadores.

Singer Gilberto Gil posted an indirect message to the Flamenguistas, the Tricolores' biggest rivals in Rio de Janeiro football, on X (formerly Twitter): “Hello, Flamengo fans, that hug”.

Writer Thalita Rebouças, who has always expressed her passion for Rio's tricolors and portrays this in her works, posted a video on Instagram crying and saying: “My God in heaven, champions”.

Also on Instagram, presenter Renata Cappucci published, moved by the title: “How many times have we been belittled, called 'timinho'. But we are big, strong, warriors. We really wanted this title, we fought, we believed”. Renata concluded by asking for respect from Fluminense, expressing her happiness and giving the message for other fans to celebrate the victory.

Celebrities who went to the stadium

Some celebrity fans took the opportunity to honor the Rio tricolor in person. Presenter Ana Clara, actor Rafael Vitti and rapper Xamã published photos of Maracanã on social media.

On Instagram, Ana Clara posed with the Fluminense shirt and wrote: “Let's go my Fluzão!!!

Rafa Vitti, also dressed in the tricolor mantle, posted the celebration after the match and even received a jab from comedian Tatá Werneck, his wife. “Very easy to start being a tricolor the day before the final”, said Tatá, in a comment on the post.

Fluminense victory

Fluminense beat Boca Juniors in the Libertadores final 2-1. The intense game was tied 1-1 for the regular 90 minutes, with goals from Luís Advíncula, on the Argentine side, and Germán Cano, on the tricolor side, until John Kennedy broke the tie in extra time and Fluminense won their first Libertadores title.
