Former RBD Poncho Herrera recalls tragedy in Brazil and reveals: ‘I still suffer’
With just a few days to go before the start of the world tour of RBD groupwith anahi, Dulce Maria, Maite Perroni, Christian Chavez It is Christopher Uckermannthe actor Alfonso Herrerawho will not participate in the reunion, recalled in an interview that, to this day, he suffers from the tragedy that happened to RBD in February 2006 in Brazil, which claimed the lives of three teenagers.
The sextet was holding an autograph session and in the midst of a huge turmoil, three fans – Claudia Cristiane, Fernanda Silva and Jennifer Xavier – died. This was very traumatic for them, according to Herrera.
“To this day I still feel a little scared when I go to a place full of people…”, he confessed in an interview with a Mexican website. “We didn’t have psychological support to deal with this situation… it was very difficult.”
“Years later we returned to Brazil, we found the family and I met the father of one of the girls who lost her life. That event marked me in a very deep way and as much as I try to turn it around, it is still there… We were alone and we supported each other. It was very difficult, ”he insists.
Poncho wished all the best to his former teammates on their new tour:
“I love that they are well because I have a huge affection for them, I love and respect them. We share things that no one else will be able to know and that the six of us were there in the hard times, in the happy times and in the difficult times. ”, He commented emotionally.
And unfortunately this week a new tragedy involving the group. A 32-year-old Spanish photographer identified as Alberto Clavijo died at the RBD event with a brand of drink, which took place in Parque Bicentenario, in Mexico City, when he fell from the fourth floor while trying to grab his jacket on a railing.
Clavijo was a friend of the presenter of the Mexican television program “Ventaneando”, Daniel Bisogno, who blamed the tragedy for the organization of the event and the owners of the properties – he is not blaming the group – for not having posted warnings of danger or caution in the place.
The fatal accident is being investigated, according to the presenter.
LITTLE LEFT!
The tour is about to start and the singers are on edge. Anahí recently shared a clip, expressing her excitement for what’s to come.
“To you, who made the impossible happen and continues to break all schemes.
To those who never forgot us and never lost hope.
Just thinking that we’ll meet again, that I’ll have the greatest gift I can give my heart.
Sometimes I still can’t believe I’ll be there…
I will see you again!”
The “Soy Rebelde Tour” passes through Brazil in November this year. The group will perform on the 9th and 10th, in Rio de Janeiro, and on the 12th, 13th, 16th, 17th, 18th and 19th, in São Paulo, with tickets sold out.
