It took not even 5 minutes for one of the most offensive teams today to put pressure on the opponent. After a cross from the left, Mahrez narrowly missed putting the Citizens ahead, stopping at the Leicester defence. In the next move in which the winger himself took the corner kick, after a dispute at the top of the defensive midfielder Rodri, Stones hit a beautiful left-footed kick, beating the goalkeeper, putting 1-0 on the scoreboard.

If anyone blinked and didn’t pay attention to the game, they missed the origin of the second goal of the home team. Grealish a few seconds later on the left end tried another cross that stopped in Ndidi’s hand, at first the referee didn’t mark anything but with the help of VAR the penalty was scored. And in the penalty kick, what we are most used to in the Premier League happened, another goal by Erling Haaland, reaching his 32nd goal in the championship.

And City’s third goal came out in a killer way, Haaland was triggered by the Belgian De Bruyne and had all the category to take the chance of defense from goalkeeper Iversen, who could do nothing. The striker has scored 47 goals in just 40 games this season and is still hungry for more and more goals. All this in just 25 minutes of play, the Manchester team won the victory quickly, putting Leicester on the ropes without reaction.

The complementary stage did not have the same intensity as the beginning, but the home team maintained control of the match without giving the opponent a chance to seek a reaction. In a rehearsed play from the corner kick, Grealish didn’t calibrate his aim in his beautiful volley that ended up going wide.

In the 15th minute, Mahrez forced the Leicester goalkeeper to make a beautiful save from his shot at the entrance to the area, the ball had an address and almost stopped in the right angle of the Danish archer.

The visiting team managed to set fire to the game as time went by, the first big chance came from a cross coming from the right that Praet did not finish very well, stopping at Ederson. The opportunities became clearer and in the corner kicked by Maddison came Leicester’s goal. On the rebound from the Brazilian goalkeeper, the ball fell to Iheanacho who only had the trouble to complete it, scoring against his former club

Everything seemed under control, so much so that Guardiola made changes to rest his players. However, due to Ruben Dias’s failure, Leicester’s second goal almost came out, Ederson came out better in a confrontation with Maddison and saved City.

Iheanacho could have discounted one more time in stoppage time, bad luck prevailed and even though the opposing goalkeeper did well, the ball had the whim of hitting the crossbar.
