Halle Berry Confronts Drake Over Unauthorized Use of Her Photo to Promote Music

The actress Halle Berry showed his dissatisfaction after the rapper Drake using a photo of yourself without permission to promote your new music. The Oscar-winning actress shared a message on Instagram, where it said that: sometimes it is necessary to be the bigger person, even if you are a woman. Two days earlier, Drake released his new single “Slime You Out“, featuring SZA, and posted a photo of Halle covered in green goo, taken at 'Kids Choice Awards 2012' from the Nickelodeon.

A user then asked the actress what she thought about Drake's use of the photo, and Halle expressed her opinion on her own page, saying that her previous post was a response to that. She explained that when people you admire disappoint you, you need to be a better person and move on.

Halle did not authorize the publication of her photo

Furthermore, Halle revealed that the rapper even contacted her team to ask for permission to use the photo, but she said “no” and explained that she didn't like seeing that image associated with his music and considered her decision to use the photo anyway as disrespectful. She stated that it wasn't something nice.

Fans show support for Halle

Another person argued that the photo was the property of Getty Images and that Drake had probably purchased it and paid for the rights. However, Halle responded that she was angry because he had asked her and she refused the request. And she questioned why he was asking permission if he had already decided to do what he wanted. For Halle, it was a matter of principle and integrity.

Halle thanked fans who understood her position, showing support, and making it clear that she was happy to see that many people understood the importance of principles and integrity.

This situation shows how the misuse of images can cause discomfort and disrespect, even when the use is legally permitted. It is important to remember that in addition to copyright, it is essential to obtain permission in person and respect the wishes of the person involved.
