Isabelle Huppert talks about what it would be like to play a villain in Marvel

According to information from IndieWire, 71-year-old French actress Isabelle Huppert stated, in an interview, that it would be a very cool and interesting experience to play the role of a villain in a genre film, such as the features produced by Marvel.

Huppert, who starred in the film “The Piano Teacher” and was nominated for an Oscar for her role in “Elle”, by Paul Verhoeven, also took the opportunity to talk about the occasions on which she collaborated with him and Michael Haneke, in which her characters have been contouring the line that exists between heroes and villains in “heavier” productions. “I feel completely safe and know exactly what I am doing. As a viewer, I can imagine that people think the actors are particularly exposed because that's what the film is about. But that's the movie. I’m not the one making the film.”said the actress, satisfied with her work.

Huppert said that he would really like to play an evil character in a Marvel production: “It must be cool to maybe be the villain, a real villain, not the villain in most of the films I do, who has a good reason for being a villain. I can never play a pure villain.”reported the actress, emphasizing her desire and wishing that this opportunity comes to fruition.
