Tom Cruise appears in never-before-seen images

Tom Cruise is filming “Mission: Impossible: Reckoning Part 2”, the eighth film in the franchise. The production is scheduled to premiere in 2025 and it looks like Ethan Hunt will be in trouble again. The actor is seen recording the scenes on a set in London, promising his classic action scenes again.

The latest film in the franchise is directed by Christopher McQuarrie and features the returns of Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, Ving Rhames and Vanessa Kirby to the cast, while Hayley Atwell (Agent Carter) and Pom Klementieff are new. In the plot, Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) and his team must track down a new weapon that could threaten all of humanity if it falls into the wrong hands.

The seventh film depicts the receipt of another important mission. They must track down a new weapon that could be a threat to the entire world. Furthermore, Ethan is confronted by a new mysterious enemy and is forced to accept the challenge.

Remember the franchise

The first “Mission: Impossible” film hit theaters in 1996, inspired by the TV series of the same name, a hit between the 1960s and 1980s. The renowned Tom Cruise brings Ethan Hunt to life from the beginning. He is a rebellious secret agent, who is always willing to save the world and prove his innocence in the face of repeated injustices. Alongside Hayley Atwell, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, Vanessa Kirby and Pom Klementieff, Tom Cruise reunites with old allies and enemies.

The second film in the franchise had the worst review of the series to date, although its action scenes remain exceptional. In production, Hunt needs to prevent, alongside his IMF team, a deadly virus developed by the Germans from being released by terrorists.

In 2011, “Protocolo Fantasma” was released, in which The production, finally, takes the grandiose directions for which it is currently recognized, accumulating 93% approval from critics on Rotten Tomatoes. “Rogue Nation”, from 2015, marks the debut of director Christopher McQuarrie, who continues in the role to this day.

In “Mission Impossible – Fallout”, 2018, Hunt and Faust continue on the trail of the Syndicate which, although reformed, pursues its nefarious objectives led by John Lark, a mysterious villain. The events of “Fallout” take place two years after the story of “Rogue Nation”, which makes it interesting to watch both films in sequence.
