Kanye West complains about Kim Kardashian
The businesswoman, who serves as a criminal justice advocate, used her Instagram stories to inform her millions of followers that Cantu was “an innocent man” who had just been killed.
Kim sent her “prayers” to Cantu’s family and other loved ones, and is supporting them through this difficult time.
Three days before the execution, Kim asked through the X platform that everyone sign a petition asking Texas Governor Greg Abbott to grant a 30-day stay of execution so that new evidence could be analyzed in Cantu's case.

Innocent
At the end of January, Kim Kardashian became interested in the case, writing in a post on X that she was moved by Cantu's story, exposing the details of the crimes as she understood them.
Kim said Cantu was convicted in 2001 and sentenced to death for fatally shooting his cousin, James Mosqueda, and his fiancee, Amy Kitchen.
However, there was evidence that the State's witnesses lied. These people later recanted, but even so, nothing was done to free Iván.

According to the website TMZ Kim also accused prosecutors of withholding evidence that would have strengthened Cantu's defense.
The Latino man always maintained his innocence, insisting that Mosqueda was a drug lord who owed a rival drug lord a lot of money.
He assured that it was the drug dealer who killed his cousin and was accused without evidence, because he was a relative of Mosqueda.
Despite his claims, Cantu was executed by lethal injection at 6:47 p.m. Wednesday, according to the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.
