King Charles decides not to spend Christmas with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle

King Charles III regretted inviting his son, Prince Harry, along with his wife Meghan Markle and the couple's two children, Archie and Lilibet, to spend Christmas with him and the British royal family. According to information from the English newspaper “Daily Mail”, the invitation would not even have been formally made, as the sovereign would have reversed his decision very quickly.

Political analysts in England even contested this decision, classifying it as humiliating for Harry and Meghan. Despite wanting his son and grandchildren to be present at the Christmas ceremony, Charles reportedly changed his mind after the release of a book “Endgame: Inside the Royal Family and the Monarchy's Fight for Survivor”, written by Omid Scobie.

The reasons for King Charles's refusal to spend Christmas with his entire family are in Scobie's controversial book. The scandal would be due to the Dutch version of the book, which would have stated that the monarch himself and also Kate Middleton, wife of Prince William, had committed racism towards Harry and Meghan's son, little Archie.

The publication is out of circulation and has raised doubts about what the original book was written about, as the translator claims that the names were in the text and the book's author denies that he accused such members of the British royal family. However, neither Harry nor Meghan stated anything about the accusations in the work, generating great controversy in England.

Christmas in the USA

The couple has spent the Christmas holiday in the United States since 2019, even before they renounced their obligations as British royalty in January 2020. It would be an important reunion for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who do not spend the special date with their family by Harry since 2018.

Nothing has been officially decided on where Harry and Meghan's family will spend Christmas.
