Housekeeper demands $250,000 from singer Brandy for ‘wrongful dismissal’

A former housekeeper of Brandy has sued the singer because she says she was fired for being too old. The woman says that there is talk of “wrongful dismissal” and “violation of labor laws”.
The former housekeeper is claiming compensation of more than USD 250,000 (about 227,600 euros).
That reports People , which has seen documents of the case.
The housekeeper claims that the 43-year-old singer, known for her hit song The Boy Is Mine , has violated California labor laws. “Including non-payment of minimum wage and unpaid rest and meal breaks,” People writes .
In addition, the woman should still be paid for two more days worked.

The housekeeper had been employed by the Come a Little Closer singer since 2002 and is said to have earned 125 dollars (113.81 euros) a day.
Brandy Norwood, as the singer’s full name is, has not yet responded to the allegations.
