Letícia Spiller reveals shocking secrets about Xuxa and Marlene Mattos on the red carpet
On Tuesday (23), actress Letícia Spiller attended the Cinema Grand Prix in Rio de Janeiro, which was attended by other filmmakers and celebrities. At the awards ceremony, the highlight of the night was the film ” Mars One” (2022), by director Gabriel Martins. When passing through the event carpet, Letícia, who had gone to honor her colleagues, was asked about the latest events involving presenter Xuxa and businesswoman Marlene Mattos.
Mattos' behavior has been the target of much criticism in recent weeks. Xuxa's documentary was released and the businessman's participation was talked about across the country. The two's reunion after 19 years resurrected unresolved situations that caused a break between them.
Marlene and the paquitas
Marlene Mattos made somewhat complicated statements when Xuxa asks if she is aware of what she did to the girls' heads (paquitas). The answer is surprising, because the former businesswoman stated: “They live to this day by being paquitas. I grounded them because I wanted them to get grades, I didn't accept grades below seven” It is added “If they weren't paquitas, no one would know they existed.”
Mattos' speeches were not well received by the public. The businesswoman shows no regret for her toxic actions towards the team under her care at that time.“Was I cruel to some people? I was. Do I regret it? To some people not at all”shoot.
Leticia's response
“We lived in a very unusual time, I would say. Nowadays, women are much more aware, women are acquiring more and more voice, empowerment, we are acquiring more strength to deal with certain situations […]”the actress began to say. And she added that she thought that time was very different than it is now. Spiller recognizes that nowadays, certain things would never be allowed, but it is important to assume that, despite everything, Marlene was ahead of her time.

“[…] For a woman to lead and protect a huge group of women who could be subject to abuse, could be subject to all kinds of things, it wasn't easy either.”
According to Letícia, it is very easy to judge Marlene Mattos and everything that happened, without paying attention to the circumstances of the past, which were not at all favorable.
