Mano Menezes criticizes CBF’s choice and reveals surprise with unusual decision

In an interview with ESPN, Internacional coach Mano Menezes criticized the choice of CBF, in the hiring of Fernando Diniz as an interim coach while he is still coaching Fluminense. The commander of carioca tricolor will command the hopscotchwhile waiting for the Italian Carlo Ancelotti who still has ties with the Real Madrid until June of next year, Diniz’s relationship with the CBF it can last from six months to a year.

“Although I have a long way to go and I am hardly surprised by many things, I confess that they (CBF) surprised me this time. I think this is very risky. Mixing things up, not defining, leaving it open, is a dangerous path in football. Especially at the top level of the Brazilian team. So I can’t really understand what they’re thinking and how exactly it’s going to work..”

Mano coached the national team from July 2010 to November 2012, during that period he was part of the cycle that would play in the World Cup here in Brazil in 2014, in all there were 33 matches, with 21 wins, 6 draws and 6 defeats.

At the end of that year, Mano was fired and gave replaced by Luiz Felipe Scolari.

By coincidence, Internacional by Mano Menezes faces Fluminense by Fernando Diniz, this Sunday at Maracanã at 16:00, Brasilia time. O Colorado is in the eighth position with 21 points, while the carioca tricolor is the sixth with the same score.
