Preta Gil will release a documentary about cancer treatment 1

This Saturday, March 30th, Preta Gil was on the Caldeirão stage with Mion participating in the new Caldeirokê show.

Preta also spoke about the release of three new singles that anticipate an album scheduled to be completed by the end of the year. “I released three singles in January, from an album that will be completed at the end of the year, with eight more tracks coming out”, said the artist, in conversation with Marcos Mion.

In addition to music, the singer revealed that she is immersed in projects that go beyond the stages and studios. A documentary, captured in an intimate way, and a book are Preta’s new bets to connect even more with the public.

“We are making a documentary, we record almost everything, in a very homely way, of the treatment [contra o câncer]from the Block [da Preta]. I wrote a book and I’m going to release it,” she revealed.

Preta also brought to light a reflection on living in the present, a philosophy she adopted especially after her diagnosis and treatment for bowel cancer.

Preta also spoke about her remission process, a moment of relief and hope. “I’m living in the here and now… I’m very happy to have overcome these stages,” she said, emphasizing the importance of the love and support she receives from everyone around her.
