Rafael Saraiva, from Porta dos Fundos, joins Globo soap opera

At 23 years old, Rafael Saraiva I could not be happier. In the cast of Porta dos Fundos a year ago, the actor and comedian was chosen to participate in the cast of the new TV Globo soap opera, No Rancho Fundo.

In the plot, Rafael will play the character Guilherme Tell, an artist who recites poems in the streets.

Created and written by Mario Teixeira with artistic direction by Allan Fiterman, No Rancho Fundo narrates the trajectory of the Leonel Limoeiros, led by the strong arm and open heart of the matriarch Zefa Leonel, the leader of the family from the interior who needs to deal with the clash between the place where they live and the city.

The main plot revolves around Quinota (Larissa Bocchino), the daughter of Zefa Leonel (Andrea Beltrão) and Seu Tico Leonel (Alexandre Nero) and, according to the author, shows the formation process of this young woman.

In his career, Rafael participated in the Portugal Show, on Multishow, acted in the series A Vida Pela Frente, on Globoplay, and also in the feature films Ciclo, Doidas e Santas, Sorry o Transtorno and the children's short film Souvernirs de Verão.

He is also in the cast of the feature film Chico Bento e a Goiabeira Maraviósa, directed by Fernando Fraiha, produced by Biônica Filmes, in co-production with Mauricio de Sousa Produções, Paris Entretenimento and Paramount Pictures, scheduled for release in 2024.

In 2020, during the pandemic, the actor participated in the film Romeo and Juliet, directed by André Dale.

Rafael is studying Communication -new media- cinema, at Puc Rio and has worked both as an actor and as a screenwriter.
