PSV confirms the arrival of Joël Drommel
“With Joël we will have a talented goalkeeper next season who will be there immediately and has the potential to become even better,” says technical manager John de Jong. “Despite his young age, Joël already has a lot of experience at the highest level. He is one of the most promising goalkeepers in the Netherlands and the Eredivisie. We are convinced of its qualities and potential. ”
At PSV this ensures that the goalkeeper carousel is running at full speed. “With the imminent departure of Lars Unnerstall and the possibility of Yvon Mvogo returning to RB Leipzig in mind, we wanted to make sure we had a reliable goalkeeper at the start of the season who has the qualities to play for PSV” , De Jong explains. “We succeeded with attracting Joël. In addition, with Maxime Delanghe and Vincent Müller, we have two talented keepers who have grown this season through training at the A selection and match minutes with Young PSV. ”
‘Bet on a switch to PSV’
Drommel himself is delighted with his switch. “From the first meeting, I have set my sights on a switch to PSV. The club and Roger Schmidt have a lot of faith in my qualities. PSV is a Dutch top club, which annually competes for the prizes and plays European football. I was looking for that challenge. I want to end the season well and I am really looking forward to joining PSV afterwards and getting to know the players group and other staff members. ”
