Xamã makes his long-awaited debut in “Renascer”

Xamã finally made his long-awaited debut in “Renascer” in this Tuesday's episode (21). In an emblematic scene set to the sound of a guitar, he arrived in the village, leaving the children playing in the street scared. In today's chapter, he goes to Norberto's store, played by Matheus Nachtergaele, and asks about José Inocêncio, played by Marcos Palmeira, which makes the merchant suspicious of his mysterious manner.

Xamã gathered with his family, friends and team to watch his debut in the soap opera. In a photo shared on social media, he revealed that he was honored, with everyone wearing t-shirts with Damião's name.

In the plot, Xamã gives life to Damião, who is hired to kill José Inocêncio, but ends up becoming one of his most faithful employees. The role of Damião in the original version, shown in 1993, was played by Jackson Antunes, who also returns to the remake in the role of Deocleciano. He will get involved with the opportunistic Eliana, Sophie Charlotte's character, who was originally played by Patrícia Pillar.

Xamã's participation in the soap opera “Renascer” is marked by his reunion with Gustavo Fernandez, director of “Justiça 2”, a series that marks his debut as an actor. In Manuela Dias' series, he will play the role of Milena's partner in crime, played by Nanda Costa. Last year, he made an appearance in the soap opera “Travessia”, but as himself.

Film works

In addition to Grupo Globo's productions, Xamã will star in the film “Cinco Types of Fear”, by filmmaker Bruno Bini, alongside Bella Campos, Barbara Colen, João Vitor Silva and Rui Ricardo Diaz. The star will also be in the film “Maniac do Parque”, on Amazon Prime. In the production, he plays Nivaldo, a good man and boss of Francisco, the protagonist played by Silvero Pereira.
