CR7 argues with opponent and leaves the field furious after Al-Nassr trip

Over the weekend, Al-Nassr went blank and ended up 0-0 against Al-Fayha, in a game valid for the 23rd round of the Saudi Pro League, the national championship of Saudi Arabia. The bad result, which kept Cristiano Ronaldo’s team in second place in the league, left the star frustrated.

After the match last Sunday (9), CR7’s nervousness was evident. In addition to getting involved in a mess during the game, the star argued with Ali Al-Zaqan, Al-Fayha player, accusing him of spending time making wax.

In the video that caught Cristiano’s discontent and recorded the disagreement with Al-Zaqan, the number 7 shirt was seen leaving the field in anger. The star of the vice-leader of the championship can be heard saying “you don’t want to play”, referring to the opponent’s attitudes that would have harmed the progress of the match.

With the two points wasted, Al-Nassr are now three away from Al-Ittihad, leaders of the Saudi Pro League. Cristiano Ronaldo, hired to star in the club’s new project, has done his part: he has already scored 11 goals in 10 matches for the Saudi Championship, but the new episode enters the list of the Portuguese’s many frustrations this season.

Cristiano arrived at the Arab club after his contract with Manchester United ended in November last year. At the time, Cristiano harshly criticized the club’s coach, Erik ten Hag, the management team and United’s structure in an explosive interview, given to the British channel Piers Morgan, on YouTube.

Weeks later, CR7 experienced a disappointing World Cup in Qatar, individually and collectively. In the tournament, the star scored just one goal, was placed on reserve and, from the bench, saw Portugal lose to Morocco in the quarter-finals, starring in one of the great upsets of the 2022 World Cup.
