Studio Wildcard has announced the postponement of Ark: Survival Ascended to October 2023. It is a remaster of Ark: Survival Evolved that is in development for PS5, Xbox Series and PC. Before, the game was scheduled to come out in August.
“We found it challenging to work with Unreal Engine 5.2, but at the same time it was incredibly exciting,” explained Studio Wildcard in a announcement. “We are discovering new ways every day to take technology to the next level; Combined with the work required to support a fully moddable game ecosystem across platforms on consoles and PC, it’s clear we’re going to need a little more time.”
In addition, The Island expansion will be included in the game, but the remaster of the Scorched Earth expansion has been delayed until December. The Ragnarok and Abberation expansions will launch in Q1 2024 along with the rest of the maps to follow
It was also said that the early access price of the game will be $45, with the launch discount dropping it to $40. they will only go offline from September 30th.
Studio Wildcard is also working on the sequel Ark 2, due out in 2024 for PS5, Xbox Series, and PC, and will also be available on Xbox Game Pass. The game will star actor Vin Diesel.
