Blizzard has told Diablo IV players who’ve reached their goals that it’s okay to drop the game for a bit to go play something else before the launch of Season One, called Season of the Evil Ones, on July 20th.
during a recent broadcastDiablo IV associate director Joe Piepiora said the Blizzard team follows their own advice, and pointed to the launch of new seasons as a great time to get back to playing the action RPG because it offers a fresh start for everyone.
“When you hit all the goals and do the things you think are important and want to take a break to play something else for a while, that’s fine,” Piepiora said. “We do the same thing. But when a season rolls around and there are new things for you to see, it’s a great time to come back, especially if you had fun playing before. That’s exactly when you should go back and check out Diablo IV with a new character.”
“To be honest, when the next WoW (World of Warcraft) expansion comes out, there’s a chance I’ll be playing WoW for a while,” added producer Tim Ismay. “But it’s great to know that there’s a point where I can go back to Diablo IV, and everyone is on equal footing.”
Creating a new character is required to play Season One content, meaning players can take time out of the game without worrying about falling behind.
