Missing boy found by authorities in suspicious car

According to information provided by the delegate responsible for the investigation, Sandra Mara, the mother of the 2-year-old boy found in São Paulo, after having disappeared in Santa Catarina, was convinced to donate the child. The boy was in the middle of a shelter located in São Paulo until this Tuesday (9), the Santa Catarina authorities were waiting for a court decision to be able to pick him up at the scene.

According to the boy’s family, he was last seen on April 30 next to his mother in Greater Florianópolis. On Monday (8), the boy was found inside a car along with a couple, who were arrested for human trafficking in the act. The Justice of São Paulo ended up converting the arrest of the two to preventive custody, in a custody hearing.

The delegate revealed about the child’s mother: “The mother has a very great emotional and psychological fragility. She was convinced because of her fragility. She is very young, she got pregnant at 19, 20 years old”.

On Tuesday, during a press conference, she also commented on the boy’s father. “The child is only registered in the mother’s name. But a possible father has been pointed out to us. We served a warrant at his house too, of all the people who were indicated by the investigation”, declared to the delegate.

Considering the facts, it will also be investigated by the police whether any means of financial exchange was carried out in relation to the donation made in exchange for the child. “The mother denies having received an advantage, but we will only be sure with the breaking of the bank secrecy of all those involved”, the delegate responsible for the case finally informed.
