Request denied

According to the Court of Justice of the State of São Paulo, the request for separation under the Maria da Penha Law was denied by the Court of the 1st Criminal Court and Domestic and Family Violence against Women and forwarded to the Family Court by, in accordance with the official note, “to deal with highly complex and specialized issues, which go beyond the limits and parameters limited to criminal jurisdiction or related to the rite of expediting cases involving domestic and family violence against women”.

Ana also requested an urgent protective measure against Alexandre, stating that he had a firearm in his possession. With a search warrant, the Civil Police went to Alexandre's apartment, but found nothing.
