The Power of Wishes” gets new official trailer

This Tuesday (31), Disney released the second trailer for “Wish”, marking the studios' centenary. The film, scheduled for January 4, 2024 in Brazil, features teenage heroine Asha on a cosmic mission to save the Kingdom of Roses.

The musical feature film arrives to celebrate 100 years of Disney studios and tells the story of Asha, a 17-year-old teenager, dreamy and full of personality, who makes a wish to the Star, a cosmic energy. Together, they unite to save the Kingdom of Roses from its ruler: the Magnificent King.

Escaping the stereotype of the traditional princess, Asha is voiced by Oscar-winning actress Ariana DeBose (Amor, Sublime Amor). The film also features the voices of actors Alan Tudyk (Resident Alien, Moana, I, Robot) and Chris Pine (Wonder Woman, Dungeons & Dragons, Star Trek), who gives life to the antagonist Magnificent King.

Film has strong direction

“Wish” will be directed by Chris Buck, known for great animation successes, such as the films in the “Frozen” and “Tarzan” franchise, which were popular in the 1990s. The director won the Oscar for Best Film of Animation with the first film “Frozen”, in 2014, consecrating Disney's work as the first winner of the grand prize in world cinema.

The film is the 62nd animated film from Walt Disney Animation Studios, formerly known as Walt Disney Feature Animation, a studio founded in the 1930s by Walt Disney. The first film produced by the studio was “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs”, in 1937, and since then, hundreds of short and feature-length animated films have been released, marking generations.
