Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik split up
The relationship between model Gigi Hadid and singer Zayn Malik has come to an end, TMZ and People sources confirm . The former One Direction singer is said to have beaten his ex-mother-in-law Yolanda Hadid, but Malik “firmly” denies this.
According to Malik, “something” happened with “a relative” of his ex-partner that probably put his daughter’s safety at risk. “I want my daughter to grow up in a safe environment,” Malik wrote on Twitter.
He hopes his former mother-in-law will reconsider her “false accusations” and that family problems can be resolved privately. He does not confirm the breakup in so many words, but TMZ , which is usually reliable with such news, writes that it has been over for at least a month.

Yolanda Hadid, who was originally Dutch, told TMZ that Malik had used violence against her and would still have doubts about filing a complaint. Gigi Hadid has yet to comment on her mother and Malik’s statements. A spokesperson for the model said she is “focused on what’s best for Khai”, the 13-month-old daughter the model and the singer had.
Hadid and Malik had been in a relationship since 2015, but broke up in 2018. This was followed by a flashing light relationship, after which the two were officially back together since December 2019.
