Corinthians fans protest, and Cássio comments: “You have a right”
After another setback by Corinthians in the Brazilian Championship, the crowd protested at the Neo Química Arena and Cássio treated the demonstrations naturally
captain of Corinthiansthe goalkeeper Cassio spoke about the crowd’s protests this Sunday, 2nd, after the defeat against Red Bull Bragantino at Neo Química Arena. In an interview in the mixed zone, the veteran said that the demonstrations for the bad phase of the team, in addition to the questioning by the current management, are valid.
“Those who pay for tickets have the right to express their opinions and say whatever they want. I have to concentrate to honor the team. Here, when it doesn’t go well, it’s pressure, everyone knows. We have to draw strength, evolve. We need to win games.” said Cassio.
With this Sunday’s result, Timão parked at 12 points and could end the round in the relegation zone. The team is in 16th position, with only one point of advantage for Goiás, first inside the Z-4.
“My opinion is that we need to get out of that low and then we’ll see what we can get. We have to win to get out of this very uncomfortable situation”, completed the captain.
Corinthians returns to the pitch next Wednesday, July 5th, to face América-MG, at Arena Independência, at 9:30 pm (Brasília time), for the first leg of the quarterfinals of the Copa do Brasil.
