Employment needs generate kilometric queue in Ceará

This Thursday (15), a kilometer queue formed in front of the biscuit factory Rabbit, 244 km from Fortaleza, with the intention of participating in the selection process. The company in the city of Massapê opened vacancies this Wednesday, but did not say how many are available.

“Several people arrived early to get a password in the company’s selection process. There were candidates who arrived at the end of Wednesday night and slept on the spot. To withstand the long wait, some used stools”said Jonas Deison, who was there.

The vacancies advertised are for electromechanics, the factory informed that training and experience in the area would be a differential. However, they have not yet published the number of vacancies available.

Candidate João Flaviano was dissatisfied, due to the fact that he was not correctly informed about the vacancy and that he did not have enough forms for all the candidates. “I arrived around 7 am. I didn’t receive a form and I heard a comment that they only had about 200 forms and that’s all. Let’s see what happens. I’m still on unemployment insurance, it’s still trying to work out”he said.

The Coelho factory communicated that hiring is being carried out by registration, with teams of two shifts and also in person in the next locations of the company CE-362 in the city of Massapê.

The factory said it is reviewing all resumes, however, it will not be an immediate hire, and is looking to hire soon.

Unemployment rate

Many are looking for a stable life, however, the high demand of people causes insufficiency in the labor market. The unemployment rate in Brazil rose to 8.8% in the moving quarter ending in March, according to the National Survey. This is the highest result since 2015, and the number of unemployed increased by 10%, which considers 860 thousand people looking for a job to stabilize themselves. According to the National Survey, shared today by the IBGE.
