Freaky Friday 2: The Sequel!

Nostalgia session. This is how the Afternoon Session could be called, the program that aired from Monday to Friday on Globo and showed classic films repeatedly, at a time when there was no streaming and everyone was forced to watch whatever was on.

That's how the film “The blue Lake” has become a classic full of nostalgia for Generation Z, and the same happens with some films from lindsay lohanin case, “A Freaky Friday”, which has the actress as the protagonist.

The film is from 2003, produced by Disney and with the direction of Mark Waters(What If It Was True), (Daddy's Penguins) tells the story of Tess (Jamie Lee Curtis) trying to get along with his rebellious teenage daughter Anna (Lindsay Lohan).

And after eating fortune cookies in a Japanese restaurant, their souls magically change bodies, and one is forced to be in the other's skin, as a result, they live many adventures and are forced to understand each other.

The website that publishes news from Hollywood, The Hollywood Reporter announced this Wednesday (10) that “A Freaky Friday” there will be part 2 and it is in production. Nostalgia can now take over!

Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis, who gave life to the main characters, Anna Coleman and Tess Coleman are already confirmed to reprise their roles. The script for this second part will be Elyse Hollanderwho was the director of the biopic Madonna, Blonde Ambition2017.

The actresses had been giving signs in the media for a long time that they would love a sequel. Cutis said last year, in an interview with the program The Viewwhich she would accept to do even if she were the grandmother in the film:

“Let me be the grandmother! Let me be the old grandmother who changes places” she told the program.

Lindsay, in an interview with the newspaper The New York Times said that she and Jamie were very open to it and would do something that people would love:

“Jamie and I are open to it, so we’re leaving it in their hands. We would just do something that people would absolutely love,” Lohan said at the time.

There is still no release date for “Freaky Friday 2”, but the first classic is available on Disney+.
