THE MOVING WORDS OF VOLODYMYR ZELENSKY
“A silence of death. Fill this silence with your music“: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky once again marked hearts and minds by speaking at the Grammy Awards, via a recorded video address.
In a moving appeal, he urged the American music industry to support his country, which was invaded by Russia.
“Tell the truth about the war, on your social networks, on TV. Support us in every way possible, all but silence. And then peace will come,” President Zelensky said in his usual khaki t-shirt, before a performance by John Legend, joined on stage by Ukrainian artists Mika Newton and Lyuba Yakimchukt.
And two huge flags were raised on the stage of the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

A little comfort for the American rock band Foo Fighters who suddenly lost at the end of March their drummer Taylor Hawkins, who died at the age of 50:
three Grammy Awards and a beautiful interpretation on stage of Happier Than Ever by pop star Billie Eilish wearing a long t-shirt with the effigy of the late musician.
Taylor Hawkins, who died in a Bogotá hotel and whose toxicological analysis of his body revealed the presence of THC (cannabis), antidepressants and opiates, was also entitled to the tribute of his profession in the long list of the disappeared of last year in the music industry.
An evening of music, tributes and emotion.
