MC Marcinho depended on mechanical ventilation
Marcinho's health condition worsened after a cardiac arrest on July 10, which led to him being transferred to the ICU and requiring intubation. Doctors tried several procedures to stabilize him, including implanting an artificial heart and using ECMO, a technology that allows blood to be oxygenated outside the body.
However, on August 22, the singer contracted a widespread infection, which caused him to be removed from the transplant waiting list. Until last Saturday (26), Marcinho depended on mechanical ventilation and hemodialysis to stay alive.
